We had a beautiful day today....on Saturday we got a really brief, but noisy lightening and thunder storm...one boom was so close sounded like it hit the house..all of the lights went out..which isn't unusual for us..but this time they went out at 7:30 pm Saturday and didn't come back on again until Sunday about 5:00 pm...fortunately we didn't have a big Easter dinner planned...so cereal and milk or peanut butter and crackers were  the order of the day..when we don't have electricity we also don't have water cuz we have a well..if I would have had any warning I would of at least filled the bathtub...the lightening struck power lines and blew out five transformers...guess we were the last transformer on the list to be fixed and being Easter they had a skeleton crew on..oh well memories..today it's been great.

It was cold here today too.  We had record breaking lows last night in the 20's, and same tonight.  We are going to warm up starting tomorrow, and I'm so ready for it!

We ended up losing in 13 innings, but it was a heck of a game!  We also lost one player sliding head first into 3rd base.  He dislocated his shoulder and the MRI showed a small tear in the cartilage.  He's going to have laser surgery tomorrow.  I hate that because he was our clean-up hitter.

Sox did good Jan!  They've got Jonny Gomes and he use to be a Red.  He was a popular player here.  The Yankees are my least favorite team.  My dad has been a fan of them for years, and that's all I heard growing up.  I could never figure out why he didn't root for our Reds.  lol!  He was a minor league player for the Dodges before I was born, so I guess I got my love of baseball from him.  He played in leagues around where we lived until he was in his 40's.
