So are these two sites going to be merged, or this one disappear ?

No need to be sorry Leigh.  I was only wondering.   I just figured your server was down, and would eventually be back.  This looks like the same one I joined,  so no problem.

Is that the one with all the pictures for each section ?  I know the one I was at was not working for around a week, but I thought it was this one, and that you just remodeled it ?

General Discussion / Re: I'm sick of this weather!

I saw on the weather channel where some idiot weatherman is suing the poor groundhog, and wanting the death penalty for him just because of the winter weather.  SHAME on that idiot weatherman.  Neither of them know much about weather.  I hope Punxatawny Phil gets a pardon for his alleged mistake.  Poor groundhog,  just because of a silly superstition.

We have had a few days in the 60s & 70s which is nice, BUT it tricks the fruit trees another plants into blooming too soon, and then if we do get a late freeze we loose our fruits.  Yeah,  we need some spring weather,  but it is okay if it is chilly/cold and snowy now because I do NOT want it after mid April or even into May.  Our average last frost date is April 18 here,  which is about when we get  "blackberry winter".  That is what the old timers here call the last cold snap of the season. What do they call the last cold snap of spring in your area ?

Too bad they cannot train them to do it in certain spots so it can be bagged as fertilizer and sold...  I hear bat poop [aka guano] is pretty valuable stuff... ?

We have had some rain and snow over the winter, but not enough. The weather guys still say we are in drought, or at least danger of drought.  I hope we get plenty of rain this spring. Snow is optional for me...  Send the rain to southern Missouri if you don't want so much.  We won't mind.   ;)

She is Host Becky  and worked for BHG...  I sent one to Laura too.  They lost their jobs when BHG shut down the forums.

I found Crazykaos's email and sent her a note too.  I might have already, but just in case I sent one anyway.

Her name is Linda Saad.  I hope she still has the same email addy and gets back with us.

I might have an email for CrazyKaos...  it might take me a bit to find it.  If I do, I will send her an invite.

Only 8" of snow ?  I am from Pennsylvania originally,  that was nothing when I was a kid.  We had to have snow in several feet before anything got cancelled.  My brother says they had a 4 ft snowfall the other year, and he  had to shovel his driveway TWICE because the stupid snowplow blocked his driveway right after he cleared it. And he went to work that day.  I would not have shoveled it once, much less a second time. I would have stayed home for sure.  And what is with NAMING winter storms ?  Seems dumb to me.  Snow is what winter is all about.  Here in Missouri,  they think two snowflakes together is a "blizzard" and they get all panicky.

"Thanks!  I really appreciate you thinking of me and including me.

I'm having surgery this Thursday so won't check it out until I'm back on my feet.  Glad to know everyone is finding each other again.
I miss all the BHG friends.

~Becky"

Just thought we might like to remember her in prayer while she has her surgery Thursday.

Yeah.  Thank you admin.  I will check it out shortly.  I know most/all of the GT'ers liked crafts.   ;D

So will we have a section for crafts and hobbies too ?  I made a lamp with antique/old glass door knobs earlier this year. It turned out pretty good.  Not sure if my picture is small enough, but I can try and upload it.  It is too big.  You should be able to see it at

http://www.gardenstew.com/about28085.html

A friend found it by googling  'door knob lamp' too...  Cool.  I posted a tutorial there about making it also.  Maybe later, I will try to make a smaller copy of it.
